They have 32 communities and all 32 have the exact same problems. Directors do not have funds to run their departments. Corporate off the record expects directors to fund their departments out of pocket! Activity director have no money for activities. Maintenance directors have no tools to fix thing, no paint to paint with, and a large number of contractors are owed money and refuse to do work for Hearthstone. Resident Care Directors are worked to the bone often working several weeks without a day off. Hearthstone has much difficulty keeping employees due to poor treatment by executive directors and the incompetence of corporate. All departments heads work countless hours and here is the worst part, they are not getting paid! As I write this, payroll is 3 days late again! 4th time since December 2010 that directors have racked up late fees on rent, mortgages, car notes, etc etc because Hearthstone is broke! This has been done multiple times to hourly employees as well resulting in many employees quitting. To make matters worse while we all know the truth, Hearthstone/Carestone Headquarters insults our intelligence with bullshit lies about "computer glitches"!
Heathstone is extremely careless and dishonest with money. Hearthstone and Carestone employees were promised $25 dollar gift cards for Christmas. Donations were given by residents and their families under the claim the money would be used for the gift cards and a holiday party for each facility. Lies! Hearthstone took all of that money and many properties never saw any gift cards NOR was there money for holiday parties. Staff ended up bringing food so that we could HAVE a party. Hearthstone should be prosecuted for FRAUD for lying about the purpose of the donations! Dirty the company is just plain dirty!
